Fort Sam Houston, TX - Gate Hours, Map and Status

Fort Sam Houston has twelve access points. The Main Walters Street, Harry Wurzbach East, SAMMC IH-35 and Schofield Gates are all open 24 hours. New Braunfels and Harry Wurzbach West Gates are both open M-F, 0600-2100, except holidays. SAMMC Beach Gate hours are 0600-1900, M-F. Wilson Gate is open M-F, 0600-2000. The Winans Gate is open both M-F, from 0430-2200 and weekends, 0600-2200. Jadwin Gate is open to both POV and CV traffic, 0600-1800 M-F. There are two open Visitor Control Centers (VCC); the Main Walters and the BAMC/I35 (open 24/7); and one Commercial-Only Visitor Center at the Jadwin Gate.
